So you thought Jordan's own Heimatfest was great? Me, too. This week, I ran across a bunch of YouTube videos from other heimatfests (or, in German, hometown festivals).

Jordan Community Education and Recreation Director Brenda Lieske said there was strong participation in this year’s Heimatfest activities.

The Heimatfest parade just ended. A parade in town is about getting outside, seeing your neighbors, promoting things that are good for the welfare of the town, and candy.

Our air conditioning has been working well since Don Hartmann & Co. came to fix it on the spur of the moment last month.

At the city council meeting prior to Heimatfest, Jordan's annual city festival, Ron Jabs made a mayoral prediction.

"I'm sure we'll have wonderful weather," Jabs said.

Now that the third clue in the Heimatfest medallion hunt is out, do you have a clue about the clue?

I had so much fun at the St. Paul Winter Carnival Medallion Hunt this year that I want to try another one. Does anyone know when the Jordan area medallion hunts are scheduled?

Boy, did the Heimatfest Commission put on a wonderful weekend, or what?

From the Miss Jordan pageant to the keg toss, volleyball, the Run of the Mill, the punt/pass/kick competition, the poker tournament, horseshoes and food and games galore, last Saturday was a great day. Good music and beer, too.

I really appreciated working with Gil Hartmann on a story for Southwest Saturday. His enthusiasm for the Heimatfest medallion hunt in Jordan is inspiring.

So here is my plan:

- to study the parks in Jordan, as well as my town of residence, which is St. Paul;
