Among her many wonderful qualities, I must say that my loving wife is a fan of breakfast. In fact, she’s a fan of the entire “three meals a day” eating philosophy, while I’ve been content to eat only once a day for several years now.
Well, that has changed since our wedding last week. At least for now, anyway. For the past week, I’ve been eating a healthier diet of more than one meal a day, including breakfast. And today is the first day that I’ve eaten breakfast and then come to work with a lunch packed. It’s a new and eye-opening experience, that’s for sure.
Through the magic of the Internet, I’m able to schedule this blog post to appear at the exact time my wedding begins.
No live feed for you, dear readers, though I can’t say I didn’t try. Instead, enjoy knowing that I am getting married while this blog is being posted.
This just in: my wedding is only three days from now. That’s essentially a long weekend. I wish there was a word to describe this cocktail mix of emotions I’m feeling right now. It’s a weird mix of excitement, happiness, fear, joy, anticipation, and about 100 other emotions that I can’t even begin to describe.
I’m only five days away from the biggest change I’ve ever experienced in my life. My fiancée Molly and I are getting married in less than a week. She’s been busy working on all the last minute details that I’m sure I would forget – things like seating charts and name tags.
I’m getting married in August. It’s only three months away. Still, I can’t wait.
When I first got engaged to Molly, the advice I heard most often from friends and family alike was to nod and smile. My friends who were already married or who were engaged themselves all told me that the wedding day is a much bigger deal to Molly than it will ever be to me, so I should be ready to agree with her, to help when needed, and to (most importantly) stay out of Molly’s way when I’m not needed.
I know I’ve been leading the charge against cold weather for most of this spring, but I’m going to have to take a step back here.
I just realized the end of the school year is just over a month away.
We’re almost on the backside of April, which means that May is just around the corner and June isn’t that far off. Really, taking this line of thought just a few steps further, June is a busy month for me. This means that it will go quickly and July will be here before I know it. And after a speedy July it will be August and I’ll be getting married.
One word about the Digital Wedding Forum Convention...
WOW!
I should include a sign on my website that says,
"WILL TRAVEL FOR PHOTOS"
My son got married in September and they asked me to do the photography for the wedding (along with being mother of the groom).
My nikon was in the shop for repair and cleaning but my friend Darryl from work lent me his identical camera (along with an extra battery and memory!) so the day was not lost.
So, my brother is all about advertising and getting your name out...and I am continuing work on starting a business. My own business! I am a photographer. I am photojornalistic and love candid pictures the best! A little history about me...
