Since the news broke about the Jordan school district calling for an operating levy referendum Sept. 11, there have been six news stories, five columns, and six letters to the editor discussing the issues.
Each week there have been at least two items on the topic.
A lot has been said and there have been a lot of numbers printed. Before the Nov. 4 election, I'm sure there will be more said.
It is always interesting how some people react to things they oppose.
Especially during contentious elections, your local newspaper listens to and answers several complaints a month. It's no surprise that more letters to the editor are mailed, phones ring off the hook some days, and billboard-sized steers make special appearances. (Here I should admit that the latter originally came as a surprise.)

You have until 10:30 a.m. Friday morning to enjoy doughnuts, juice, coffee and fruit at the office of the Jordan Independent.
I’m not much of a late-night TV watcher. If I’m awake, I’ll sometimes watch "The Daily Show" or The "Colbert Report," but I usually find myself in bed by about 10 p.m.
