Not much talking this week on the site. Does everyone but me have the week off? Am I the only one not enjoying a vacation – at least a vacation from the computer?

More than 12,000 unique visitors a month head to the Web site for your local newspaper, according to the latest numbers tallied by the Jordan Independent's newspaper group, Shakopee-based Southwest Newspapers. Even the newspaper staff is impressed by that number, which represents real people who care about Jordan and want news or conversation about the town.

I’m a fan of oldies. All of my favorite bands had all broken up before I was even born, so I never really got to see them play live.

Believe it or not, it’s already the second weekend in January. Time certainly flies when you’re too busy to take a rest.
