So I've lived in Minnesota since Sept. 29. First of all, where did this whole month go? More importantly, why do people still wonder what I'm doing here when I get out of my car?
I suppose it's my fault. But not entirely.
Truth is, I still haven't updated my driver's license and license plates to reflect the fact that, believe it or not, I live in Minnesota now.
I have to say that one of the best parts of my day is watching people and traffic through the front windows of our office. In fact, one of my favorite all-too regular occurrences is watching folks park along the opposite side of the street, right next to the “No Parking Any Time” sign. It makes me laugh every time.
I was going to start putting together my warm-weather playlist, but I guess I jumped the gun. Today’s colder and dreary weather has me feeling glum. It’s certainly not the kind of weather that calls for open car windows and rocking tunes.
"Nothin' like drivin' to a Christmas party in 5 inches of snow," says I ... while videotaping. Would I get worker's comp if I crashed?
Today, I’m going to be embarking on a journey – a journey into madness. Well, a journey that will likely cause me to go mad, anyway. I’m headed for Illinois.
It's been a long day, even though it's only 3:45 p.m. local time.
I love spring and summer for a number of reasons, not the least of which is my car.
