Jordan is busy with many events during the summertime, and they all have their upsides.
For me, born and raised a city kid, one of the best events is the Scott County Fair.
The Scott County Board met Tuesday, Jan. 8. Here's what they did, according to a press release from the administrator's office:
- The commissioners received a federal issues update from U.S. Rep. John Kline, R-Minn., who discussed concerns that ranged from the earmarking process to the larger economy.
- Carrying on a long tradition, Commissioner Barbara Marschall, as 2007 county board chairwoman, presented the annual Year in Review presentation, which was organized by the board's five strategic initiatives.
