When Jordan Elementary School hosted the Jordan Area Chamber of Commerce coffee hour last week, it was a chance to showcase their new SMART boards.

The boards were installed over the holiday break, and new School Board Member Sheila Bauer, who was instrumental in raising the funds for the boards as part of the Parents Taking Action (PTA) organization, demonstrated the technology during the coffee hour.

“The community was just wowed,” Board Member Deb Pauly said.

I love taking pictures. When I was in college, I took a class called basic photography. Each student was required to provide his or her own 35-mm camera. I used one that was made before I was even born, and only half of the pictures I took that semester were even usable for the class. I still loved it.
