The fifth annual Vine-a-Fare, a wine- and food-tasting event and silent auction to benefit the Scott Carver Dakota CAP Agency, will be held at Canterbury Park in Shakopee from 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 14.

A Vine-a-Fare kicks off “Give Where You Live,” the agency’s annual fund-raising drive. The event includes wine-tasting by WineStyles of Shakopee, food-tasting by local food establishments, live music, and a silent auction.

“The community has been very generous in their support of this event,” said Joan Lynch, CAP Agency development director and coordinator of this event. “Nearly everything for the event is donated including the venue, wine samples, food from several restaurants and over 100 silent-auction prizes. Corporate sponsors are providing cash donations to Give Where You Live.”

Donations to the campaign benefit local families through services such as its Transitional Housing, Food Shelf, Senior Dining and Emergency Services programs.
