Scott County Deputy CIO Perry Mulcrone went to Lucky Linda's Body Art to get his arm decorated in Google's St. Patrick's Day logo. He has pledged to get a real Google tattoo if the Internet giant picks Scott County as a test site for high-speed fiber.

Three teenagers from Savage were arrested for burglary last weekend after they allegedly scaled the drain pipe of a building in Prior Lake and got into the vacant building through a hatch on the roof.
While police officer Rick Denmark was on routine patrol in the Fountain Hills area at about 10:28 p.m. on March 13, he saw what appeared to be a person moving inside the area formerly occupied by Creative Floor Gallery, 4385 Fountain Hills Drive.
Savage is one of 10 cities determined to be the Best Affordable Suburb in their state by Bloomberg BusinessWeek.
Life with children is expensive, but in some places a dollar goes a lot further, according to Bloomberg BusinessWeek, which evaluated information provided by community data company OnBoard Informatics to determine the best affordable suburb in each state.
The Jordan Area Chamber of Commerce is rejuvenating, as evidenced by a recent e-mail to its membership, titled "For Dedicated Eyes Only." It said:

The Jordan boys basketball team made history on Friday night on the campus of Minnesota State University, Mankato.
The Hubmen defeated Blue Earth Area 56-44 and qualified for the state basketball tournament for the first time in school history.
The National Weather Service predicts that the Minnesota River will crest at 31 feet near Jordan on Tuesday.
Its 11:22 a.m. report today said that the river was at 27.9 feet, which is 1.4 feet higher than yesterday. Flood stage is 25 feet.
The Scott County Road 9 and Carver County Road 45 river crossing between Sand Creek and San Francisco townships has been closed for two days.
The Minnesota River crossing near Jordan has been closed for two days.

Scott County Road 9 has been closed due to flood waters covering the roadway, according to Scott County Highway Engineer Mitch Rasmussen.
The closed portion of the road is from near Highway 169 to 185th Street W. in Jordan. Rasmussen said the road will remain closed until further notice.
A portion of Carver County Road 45 (aka Scott County Road 9) has also been closed.
