Should the Peterson family be required to give up one of their dogs, after the Jordan City Council ordered a crackdown on residents who house more than two pets? See the story at http://www.jordannews.com/news/animals/petersons-push-keep-jack-jack-8651.
Even though the city of Jordan says they must, the Petersons don't want to get rid of one of their three dogs. Here are a few reasons why:
Despite a city ordinance that bans residents from owning more than two pets, the Peterson family is making a push to keep their third dog, Jack-Jack, at their Jordan home.
They have a short amount of time to make a difference. Two weeks ago, while the family was vacationing and after a police officer drove by and witnessed barking dogs in the family's front yard, a citation gave them 21 days to comply with the ordinance. The impact: One dog must go.
Last week, the Jordan City Council voted to deny a kennel permit to the Petersons.

Final Grade Inc. of Sand Creek Township is demolishing the the former Jordan Car Care building and the former Tri-Mart gas station, which in about 1955 was the first business built near the intersection of highways 169 and 282.
Shortly thereafter, Wolf Motors and Clancy's Bar & Pizza Parlor made permanent homes in what's become known as the Triangle business district, a burgeoning commercial center in Jordan.
In the late 1970s and early 1980s, Ron Anderson worked four years at the gas station, which for decades housed the Triangle Cafe. This morning, Anderson, the president of the excavating company, was running a Bobcat on the demolition crew.
