The Jordan American Legion baseball team defeated Clintonville, Wis., 2-0 in the Division II Central Plains Regional to advance to the championship game on Sunday.
Jordan will play at 1 p.m. Sunday in Pratt, Kan.
It was defense that carried the Jordan Brewers all year.
At the state tournament it was their defense that let me down.
The Brewers committed five errors in losing 6-4 to the defending state champion Miesville Mudhens on Saturday night at Chaska's Athletic Park.
The Brewers led 3-0 after two innings but than committed three errors in the top of the third inning to allow Miesville to score four runs and take the lead.
Jordan tied the game in bottom of the fourth on an RBI groundout by Adam Frey.
Now that it’s out on DVD, I thought this might be the perfect time to share an anecdote about “Vantage Point.”
About 30 minutes into the movie as my fiancée and I sat in a theater with our friends, she turned to me and said something along the lines of, “Wait – the president has a double!?!”
I had to laugh because anyone who had seen the preview or any sort of advertising for the movie would know that this particular plot point is clearly spoiled before you even set foot in the theater.
